As Spring wears on and the days get longer, there are bountiful rhubarb crops in a number of Kingsburg gardens.

And Kingsburg rhubarb farmers are generous with their crops! This sought-after perennial often makes its way from one person’s garden to a neighbour's table.

The stalks of this vegetable are popular in both savoury and sweet recipes. Apparently, the redder the stalk, the sweeter the flavour. This is hard to imagine, as rhubarb on its own is pretty tart!
