History Committee

Rich in heritage and long in history, the Kingsburg Peninsula's history starts with the Aboriginal peoples followed by European settlers. In conserving much of that history the Committee has endeavoured to safeguard that heritage and preserve it as a legacy for future generations.

The KCA’s virtual Kingsburg museum holds a place of pride on the KCA website and all are welcome to explore and enjoy this terrific resource.

The History Committee welcomes volunteers, inquiries or comments. 

These are our priorities:

• gather new historical documents and photos that may be shared on the KCA website;

• produce a digital record of the long, colourful, and vital history of Kingsburg residents and community. This initiative is being led by Bill MacGillivray and Terry Greenlaw and;

• continue to collaborate with Change Lab Action Research Initiative (CLARI) based at St. Mary’s University to create more information about Kingsburg history.
