Road Committee

The Road Committee works to identify and resolve issues that impact the safety of our residents and visitors on our roads.

Our community is very active and we are developing plans with government to protect walkers and cyclists; in addition, we are addressing safety issues arising from an increasing volume of traffic accessing beaches and Gaff Point.

Chair: Robert Meyer

Members: John Duckworth, Anne Fouillard, Greg Hebb, Carole-Anne Mosher, Debora Walsh, Dan Wilson

The Road Committee welcomes volunteers, inquiries or comments.

These are our priorities:

Continue to advocate for the Department of Public Works and other government agencies to:

  • implement a long-term solution to manage the water level in King’s Pond;

  • improve the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and drivers on Hirtle's Beach and Kingsburg Roads; and

  • improve the safety of area highways and roads leading to Kingsburg, e.g., Hwy 332.

We encourage you to contact the Department of Public Works about safety concerns regarding provincial highways and roads by phone 1-844-696-7737 or email DPW-OCC@novascotia.ca. Please email us to let us know that you’ve done so at kingsburgcommunityassociation@gmail.com.
