The cover of L.L. Bean’s 2021 Summer Catalog features this beautiful landscape entitled “The Path Ahead.” Artist Lou Schellenberg drew her inspiration from time spent plein air painting in Kingsburg.

The oil on canvas work is a composite of Kingsburg views capturing the natural beauty of our horizon.

According to L.L. Bean, the artist meant to “create a vision of optimism - a path that leads to healing and hopefulness, to reconnecting with the outdoors and each other, and to the anticipation of brighter days ahead.”
