Garden Primer

With the heavy rains this past week many of us are dreaming of spring and what it has in store for our gardens. Some of you are no doubt pouring over seed catalogues or are researching tree species.

In the early 2000’s a group of folks on Beach Hill Road formed the Beach Hill Road Gardening Club. A group of novice and master gardeners who would occasionally meet to discuss the challenges of gardening on the Hill.

In 2004 this group published A Gardening/Plant Primer for Beach Hill Road. It offers a suggested planting list and reading materials which may be a starting point for you if you are planning a garden in Kingsburg.
