Terry Greenlaw Awarded Jubilee Medal

Terry, a long time Kingsburg resident was recently awarded the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal, celebrating the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

The medal was awarded in recognition of Terry’s contribution as a strong advocate giving voice to the stories of the region, enriching the cultural life of the province and promoting the economic development of the film industry. Her efforts highlight the rich life stories of our province, bring credit to Nova Scotia and contribute significantly to the arts and cultural sector of our province.

Terry is one of the first female independent producers in Atlantic Canada and a partner, along with Bill MacGillivray in the production company Picture Plant.

Several Kingsburg residents were fortunate to attend the opening of her movie Dawn, Her Dad and A Tractor last spring at a screening in Bridgewater, in the midst of COVID.
