Boules on Kingsburg Pond

Monday dawned bright and sunny with a spectacular sunrise, bringing many Kingsburg residents outdoors.

With a few days of below zero temperatures preceding, the ice was tested and Sean decided it was a good day for a first — boules on Kingsburg Pond. Jill and Hazen along with Bella skated much of the pond through the dusting of fresh snow.

Cars lined up along Kingsburg Road and folks tumbled out with skates and shovels as the word spread that the pond had frozen over.

Let’s hope the colder temperatures hold so we can enjoy more of this wonderful, winter pastime; and skating too!
