Lucy the Lobster Predicts Six More Weeks Winter

Lucy the Lobster and Shubenacadie Sam, Nova Scotia’s critter predictors of weather, have a difference of opinion in their Groundhog Day predictions this year.

Lucy crawled out of the Atlantic Ocean in the Municipality of Barrington roughly about the same time Sam, who resides at the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park, emerged from his den.

Lucy saw her shadow, forecasting six more weeks of winter, while Sam didn’t see his, suggesting an early spring; so take your pick!
