A Spectacular Light Show

The northern lights put on a spectacular show in the night sky over Hirtle’s Beach. Over the course of the evening word spread throughout Kingsburg and folks rushed outdoors to look up and take in the glorious display overhead.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) had forecasted a G4 or severe geomagnetic storm which leads to the aurora borealis being visible in more southerly locations. Kingsburg residents, and much of the South Shore of Nova Scotia, were fortunate to be privy to this spectacle. — Julie Wong
